Ending 2022, YUNGMORPHEUS released a six song offering called Burnished Sums. I spun it back and spun it back some more. He followed this acclaimed EP with From Whence It Came, a nineteen song album full of soulful samples and hazy raps. Chiefing heavily, melted cassettes. Fly Anakin, MED, Ahwlee, and more stop by to join in on the spectacle. “Fiya Haffi Bun” with lojii is a particular favorite on the album.
As many in the underground rap world have been taking note over the last few years, YUNGMORPHEUS has paved a lane for himself, one consistent release at a time, one prolific year at a time, and this cohesive artwork is simply icing on the cake. All done by Okey Ofomata. Gallery below.
