I didn't intend

to write

a reflective

piece on Hot Chip,

a band I was

obsessed with

in my late teens,

and who put on

some of the most

enjoyable

live sets I've seen,

but I've been

listening to

Coming on Strong,

their 2005 debut

and it still slaps.

I always preferred

their slow bangers

and ballads, so tracks

like "Crap Kraft Dinner"

and "Shining Escalade"

have been soundtracking

my recent late nights.

Do I feel like a teenager again?

No, no I do not.

Is Hot Chip still great?

And are Alexis Taylor's

piano solo albums worth

your while? Yes, yes they are.
