I found out about SkipOnDaBeat through BEAM and I found out about Tommy Revenge through SkipOnDaBeat. Tommy and Skip released the ten song album, SCHOLAR, at the top of this year and it's been on repeat ever since. One of my favorite rap albums of the year, it's one that doesn't let up from the gas for the entirety of the LP. Opener "Simulation", bass quaker "Royal Treatment", the echo bounce of "Ya Know", the finesse of "Backflips", they all hit. BEAM and Valee come along for the ride. This might be the most slept on album of the year. Press play expeditiously. Your speakers will thank you.
