[purple moonlight pages] is a map and key, a comfy home library, a daytrip to the source under the cover of moonglow.
— R.A.P. Ferreira, vinyl notes

I simply want to

call attention to

my appreciation for

the progressions

and use of space

on this album.

Track seven,

“Dust Up”,

for example,

feels like the end

of a chapter,

a poetic intermission,

as if tracks 1-7

exist as their own EP,

and the beginning

of track 8,

“Cycles”,

is the beginning

of a new…cycle.

I look at this dynamic

album as multiple

acts in a play

or multiple sets

of a performance

so you must imagine

my delight

when the vinyl arrived

and the back cover

listed 1-7 only,

with the text

‘continued inside’

for 8-end.

Listen again.
