The prolific
beatmaker
has been
behind the boards
for some of my
favorite recent
hip-hop releases.
Not coming and going
but handling
full projects.
He caught
my ear
over and over after
fully producing
hip-hop albums like
Subcriminal Thoughts
by Smoovth,
A Moment in Time by
LORD JAH-MONTE OGBON,
and New Phone Who Dis
by Sonnyjim.
Machacha also
recruited numerous
MCs for an album
of dark
and soulful
posse cuts
called The Hundred.
Hosted by
Copenhagen Crates,
it features artists like
Eto, ANKHLEJOHN,
Sauce Heist, Mooch,
Brainorchestra, Rigz,
and so many others.
Most recently,
Machacha
fully produced
The Lead Lined Wall,
an album
with MC
Vega7 The Ronin.
Often drumless,
the backdrops
allow Vega7
to run wild.
