Chicago outfit

Lucille Furs

have been

in the works

for about two years,

complete with

loose singles,

a name change,

and later a string

of Sofar Sounds

performance videos.

Honing in

on their sound

and vintage style,

it wasn't until

the end of September

of this year

that they released

their self-titled

debut album,

a baroque,

psychedelic experience.

Recorded at

Treehouse Records

in Chicago,

the twelve song

album is a trip

back into yesteryear,

where the cars

are tinier, more elegant,

where people wear

more peacock feather

patterns, where uncomfortable

couches add

to the look

of the hip, inviting

living room.

This album

sounds like

a Sunday

in that room.
