Today I have the pleasure of premiering Swedish producer fredrsngrn’s first two ambient singles.
The artist, who currently resides in Norway, explained how the title translates to "dandelion kid's last dance", with the word "maskrosbarn" referring to children who overcome a rough upbringing.
This quiet instrumental is an ode to those growing up in these harsh conditions.
A calming song reminding ‘dandelion kids’ that they are not alone in their journey, going through life in this cold world coated in snow, but the ice will melt and warmth will be here soon.
Accompanying the first track is "broder jords fågelsång ekar i evighetens tomrum", which translates to "brother earth's birdsong echoes in the everlasting void".
Full of nature sounds and field recordings, it's a poetic voyage that takes you through an atmospheric soothe.
These two sweeping instrumentals are here to guide and reassure and ultimately relax.
Look out for more from fredrsngrn this year, including an LP sooner than you think.
