first caught my attention
when he did the cover
for Netherfriends
and Yomi's song
(pictured below).
I've been following
his creations on Instagram
ever since.
Blending oddball caricatures
with his own swirl
of surrealism,
all of Verlustration's pieces
seem inside their own world.
Not contained
within any particular
decade, but existing
inside a unique,
man-made dimension.
Equal parts Tim Burton
and deranged Pixar.

about gathering inspiration
from older pieces,
