I first heard about
Will Sessions
when the live band
provided instrumentation
for Elzhi's Illmatic rendition,
properly titled Elmatic.
While that was back in 2011,
Will Sessions has continued
with the live soul sound,
blending funk and hip-hop
with groovy ass breakdowns.
For the newest release,
Deluxe, the group features
previously released tracks
that were only available
as exclusive 7” singles.
Now they are remastered
and featured as an eight track
album, one worth blasting
on a Sunday afternoon
as you clean your house,
iron your shirt,
call up your girl.
