Chicago hosts an underbelly
of talented artists
churning out
quality content
at an alarming rate.
Some of it flies
beneath my radar
while other projects
I scoop up and hold close.
The latter is the case
for Swan Lake,
a fifteen song
growling, snarling project
between vocalist LIP!
and producer Nancy.
With features
from MDMC members
as well as assistance
from Jasper MacRae,
the whole project
takes on a subculture
you can't find elsewhere
in Chicago.
It's a strange haze
daydream perfect
for battling the high seas.
