Back in the fall,

(by way of North Carolina)
vocalist Ben Burden
had me slide on over
to Classick Studios
to listen to a project
he had recently finished
called The Concrete Maze.
On first listen
with professional speakers,
I remember the project
arriving and departing
faster than I wanted,
with plenty of dense content
packed into an impressive
eighteen minute EP.
The production
from Benjamin Agresti
(who produced it all)
provides a stunning
backdrop for Burden
to run wild vocally,
switching it up
on every track.
To top it all off,
now that it is available
to the masses,
it comes complete
with a labyrinthine website,
which does nothing
but enhance the feeling
of being lost
while embracing
this unique release.
